It is preferable that the soil does not contain much organic material, such as peat moss and that the plant is not fertilized with heavy nitrogen as this can cause an explosion of soft, flabby growth that can make the plant prone to bacterial rots. Decomposed granite is often an excellent media as it has many trace minerals and is similar to the South African quartz fields where these and others of the "Stone Mimicry" are found growing. Holds up well!

We used these brackets to hold up our snowboards on the wall (as seen in photos, apologies for the bad quality) and they held up very well. The brackets were a little hard to get into the wall, but that may have been the area we put them in. But for the most part the installation was simple, they looked nice, served its function, and are worth the money

Just what I needed.

A little on the pricey side, but really sturdy and well made. I needed an odd size set of brackets to fit a shelf in an awkward spot. I wasn't sure I'd find brackets with arms long enough for my needs without using some ugly white hardware-store shelf brackets. These look great, are very heavy duty, and just what I needed. I debated the purchase because of their initial cost, but once I got them I realized their quality warranted the premium price. Overall I'm very happy with them.
